AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a 52-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered in her own home in 2022.

- BRYANA FRANCIS

Lisa Fraser was found dead at her home in Military Road, Pembroke Dock, at around 8am on Friday, May 13, 2022.

Matthew Harris, of Barn Court, Haverfordwest, was arrested on suspicion of murder moments after leaving Mrs Fraser's house.

He was found hanged in his prison cell at HMP Long Lartin in Worcestershire on May 27, 2022, and died the following day, aged 41.

Pc James Langford, of Dyfed-Powys Police, told the inquest a postmortem examination carried out at the University Hospital of Wales, in Cardiff, found that Mrs Fraser died from "multiple sharp-force injuries including a cut throat".

She was pronounced dead at the scene at 8.52am.

Assistant Coroner Paul Bennett opened the inquest, which is scheduled to last all week, at Haverfordwest County Hall.
