The teenager is principally a batsman, but has impressed also with his spin bowling, claiming match figures of 11 for 140 as Somerset defeated rivals Surrey during the 2024 Championship title race.
With the bat he scored a career-best 109 not out in the One-Day Cup against Northamptonshire in August this summer, his first three-figure innings for Somerset.
Somerset director of cricket Andy Hurry said: “Archie has demonstrated a significant amount of potential, alongside an outstanding attitude and work ethic.
