Nabbed in Thailand after 3 years on the run

Nicholas Cash, 26, was arrested on Tuesday by detectives in the south east Asian country.

He was found in Sri Saket province in the north east of Thailand, which borders Cambodia.

It is believed that he fled there in October 2022 while awaiting trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.

He was accused with a range of offences relating to an alleged campaign of sustained abuse of a former partner between February and November 2020.

Cash was found guilty in his absence in February 2023 of offences of controlling or coercive behaviour, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and administering a poisonous or noxious substance with intent.
