Harvest 2025 ends with mixed results
Western Daily Press
|October 01, 2025
THE UK's cereal harvest is now complete for those reporting to the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board's (AHDB) 2025 survey.
-
As a result of extreme weather conditions this year, the levy board says this year’s harvest has been “extremely challenging” for many growers across the country, and the overriding message is one of “considerable variability.
Even where yields have been above expectations from earlier in the year, price declines throughout the course of the year will have had a “significant impact” on the profitability of arable farms.
Covering data up to the week ending September 24, which is the twelfth week of the typical harvest period, this is AHDB's sixth and final harvest report of the 2025-26 season. It is produced with data collected by the Andersons Centre and compiled by AHDB.
