Fery bound for main draw after Prizmic win

Fery expressed his pride and happiness after overcoming Croatia’s Dino Prizmic and his raucous band of supporters to qualify for the Australian Open for the first time.The 23-year-old Londoner posted his third successive straight-sets win at Melbourne Park to secure a maiden grand slam appearance away from Wimbledon.
Prizmic, ranked nearly 60 places higher than Fery at 127, is a rising talent and he was backed in force by Melbourne’s Croatian population, but Fery triumphed 6-4, 6-1.
