A CAFÉ has announced it is closing for good as rising costs mean it can no longer keep operating.

The owner of Café Strand in Falmouth, Matty Riedel, said he will have to close the café’s doors after more than six years as a result of the cost of living.

In a post shared on Facebook, he made the announcement and offered “fond farewells”.

He said: “It’s with a heavy heart that we have to announce Café Strand is closing. Rising stock prices and the cost of living mean we can no longer keep operating.
