Ladies heading to Twickenham

WINSCOMBE Ladies are heading to Twickenham on May 18 to face Buckingham Swans in the final of the national Papa Johns Community Cup.

The team, which only reformed last season, has gone from strength to strength under the guidance of head coach Gavin Hancock and forwards coach Billy MacKay.
Winscombe won their league this season and have travelled many miles in the cup, beating Chard 39-5, Bridgwater 52-15, Paignton 26-6, Devonport Services 34-5 and Havant 46-20. In the semi final, they travelled to Colchester Iceni and won 36-12 to book their place at Twickenham.
