Springboks set to bring the heat in titanic clash against Barbarians

More than 40 000 tickets have been sold for the duel in the DHL Stadium, and it is expected to be near capacity when the two sides run out this afternoon (5.10 pm kick-off).

For the Boks, it’s the perfect match to start their year with as they look to build a strong platform from which they can launch their season.

The interest in the clash shows that Capetonians are hungry for Bok rugby and according to assistant coach Mzwandile Stick, he’s been peppered with questions from locals during the off season about when they are going to play again.

"The energy we get in Cape Town is something else. Hopefully we can give the people a good show," Stick said ahead of the match.
