Construction worker killed in accident

Crew member says boom lift tipped over and struck man

A man is dead after an industrial accident at Ontario Place Tuesday morning, Toronto police say.

Officers received reports just after 9:30 a.m. for a person injured by construction equipment.

The person was not transported to hospital despite sustaining critical injuries, paramedics confirmed. Police say the deceased is a male, but didn't provide an age.

Police and fire crews were at the scene Tuesday afternoon.
