Ruben's shackled by decade of misspent millions

RUBEN AMORIM is paying the price for a decade of mismanagement that has seen Manchester United blow a massive £1.3billion in the transfer market.
SPECIAL REPORT
He has demanded United secure Denmark wing-back Patrick Dorgu, 20, in a £29million deal from Lecce. And there is belief that a loan deal for Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel, 19, can be done, after he snubbed Tottenham.
Dorgu (right), who passed a medical yesterday, is expected to be announced as Amorim's first signing. He will help to implement the United boss' preferred tactical plan of a three-man central defence flanked by wing-backs. Tel would help to address the issues Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have in front of goal. But sources close to Amorim have suggested that he needs as many as five MORE new faces to make the team consistently competitive.
The problem is that United's bank account is running short of the kind of cash needed to revamp the squad yet again.
