Coma victim's physio is at risk
THE family of a mum who learned to walk and talk again by copying her baby girl badly needs money to continue her vital treatment.
A fundraising appeal has been launched for Rachel Harry, who was given just two hours to live when her heart stopped for 20 minutes in July 2012 as she gave birth.
The arrest was caused by an undetected blood clot. She pulled through but, after a week in a coma, medics said she would never walk, talk, eat or even sit up independently again.
But in an astonishing role reversal, brain-injured Rachel relearned all these skills by mimicking her little girl, Freya. When Freya took her first steps, determined Rachel had a go.
