LABOUR has vowed to save homebuyers a fortune, and a lot of stress, by overhauling how property is sold.
Housing Minister Matthew Pennycook said plans to be announced today will be a game-changer for buyers and sellers alike, cutting the length of time transactions can take by getting rid of the paperwork.
He said: "By harnessing the power of technology, we can make sure fewer sales fall through and follow in the footsteps of Norway, where property transactions take just a month on average, not nearly five months which is the case here."
