Soon after I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, I realised I wanted to do what I could to give back as it made some sense of my life and gave me a sense of purpose and worth.
I guess that's what inspired me to run marathons, ultramarathons, take on big hikes and speak out about the disease. Sometimes these events would be organised and others just made up by my imagination.
Last week, I had the honour of joining my prostate cancer friend, Paul Dennington on his 'March Through Life'. Paul was diagnosed just under five years ago with incurable stage 4 like me and has worked tirelessly to raise funds and awareness ever since.
