SpaceX's Starship encountered a setback in its test flight this morning as the automated flight termination system activated following a loss of communication with the spacecraft approximately 10 minutes into its mission.

This represents the company's second endeavour to launch a Starship on a near orbital journey, lasting 90 minutes and covering almost the entire globe. The initial test flight, conducted in April, also ended in failure, with the spacecraft exploding four minutes after liftoff and scattering debris in the vicinity.
