Punjab Police officers to be honoured with PMDS and MMS

Recognising the outstanding services of the Punjab Police, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India (GOI), on the eve of 76th Republic Day announced the names of the Punjab Police officers/officials who will be awarded the President's Medal for Distinguished Service (PMDS) and the Medal for Meritorious Service (MMS).
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Intelligence R.K. Jaiswal and ADGP Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Nilabh Kishore will be conferred with the President's Medal for Distinguished Service.
Similarly, IPS Officer and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ludhiana Range Dhanpreet Kaur, along with PPS Officer AIG Financial Intelligence Unit Tejinderjit Singh, are among 15 officers/officials selected for the Medal for Meritorious Service. The remaining officials include Inspectors Inderdeep Singh, Amrik Singh, Jagroop Singh, and Balwinder Singh; Sub-Inspectors (SIS) Balbir Chand, Iqbal Singh, Satish Kumar, Balvir Chand, Lakhvir Singh, Dimple Kumar, Harvinder Kumar; Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIS) Sukhbir Singh and Harpal Singh.
Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, while congratulating the awardees, expressed gratitude to the Central Government and State Government for recognising the services of these officers, boosting the morale of the entire Punjab Police force.
