NDMC to improve EV infrastructure in Lutyens' Delhi

The New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) will upgrade its infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVS) in Lutyens' Delhi to significantly promote green energy utilisation under the National Electric Mobility programme. To strengthen the infrastructure, NDMC will build 350 new EV charging stations in the NDMC area, said Satish Upadhyay, Vice chairperson of the NDMC.
On 27 September 2023, the NDMC approved the setting up of public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and the procurement of thermal power in the NDMC area in its council meeting, which was presided over by Amit Yadav, the chairperson of NDMC. In the council meeting, members of the NDMC, along with all the dignitaries, considered and approved the various citizen-centric, infrastructure, and employee welfare-related proposals.
