CHASIN' LIGHT' IS A MELODIC MEDITATION ON MODERN-DAY DRIFTING: SAHANA NARESH
The Sunday Guardian
|June 01, 2025
These nostalgic lines open Sahana Naresh's brand new single 'Chasin' Light', which released on May 14.

Chasing light... In the night time I'm passing by... There's a tunnel in the back of my mind... To a long-forgotten time...
This indie-pop number in English has been written and sung by Naresh and produced by Papercup Records. Keshav Purushotham, the producer of the number, also contributed to writing its poignant lyrics. It's been mixed by Niklas Schneider and mastered by Steddy.
"Have you ever stood in your room, phone in hand, mid-scroll and suddenly asked yourself what you are even doing here? If so, 'Chasin' Light' is what you need to listen to," explains the talented singer.
She describes her new single 'Chasin' Light' as a "melodic meditation on modern-day drifting - the kind that pairs beautifully with moody sunsets, rainy car rides or those late-night conversations with your most introspective friend (even if that friend is just your own overthinking brain)." Naresh's deep vocals play well to the haunting lilt of this indie-pop song, which stays with you long after you have heard it.
