‘We have come through some s***’: Cynthia Erivo

British actress-singer Cynthia Erivo did not mince her words when asked about some of the challenges she and her Wicked: For Good castmates had experienced during the international promotional tour for the fantasy musical movie sequel.

“We have come through some s***, We have come through some stuff in our lives, in our daily workings,” she said during a Screen Actors Guild screening on Nov 15.

Erivo, 38, was likely referring to a Nov 13 incident that took place in Singapore, in which a man jumped a barricade and charged at her costar Ariana Grande at the film’s yellow carpet premiere at Universal Studios Singapore in Resorts World Sentosa.

Erivo continued: “I mean, f***, even this last week. Let’s be honest, we've had to really deal with some stuff, and this movie has allowed us to really grow as people, as friends, as sisters, as artistes, as actresses.”
