May 2 South Africa (Fairview) form analysis

RACE 1 (1,400M) (1) LA VIDA LOCA has been holding her form well in Kwa-Zulu-Natal and that form should be good enough to score on local debut. (6) STAR OF ELENA was not disgraced on her debut and should fight out the finish.

(4) CLEVER CANDY makes her local debut and has not run too badly in the Western Cape. She would not be a surprise winner.

(2) RUBY CLAIRE was too far back last time and is battling to win.

RACE 2 (1,900M) (7) DUTCHESS D'ORANGE has run well in both her starts on the turf since changing trainers and could beat these rivals trying the Polytrack.

(3) HAT MONTERA has not been beaten too far in her recent starts and can contest the finish again. (1) GENTEEL has not been reliable but she is capable of getting involved in the finish once again. (2) OH MANDY could like this longer distance and deserves respect.

RACE 3 (1,600M) (1) HOLOCENE has had some bad draws of late and is not well drawn again but should make a bold bid if he shows his best under jockey Richard Fourie.
