I was glad to read the article "Temporary Job Scheme a lifeline for accused maids awaiting outcome of investigations" (Oct 20). Offering temporary employment opportunities to domestic workers accused of crimes is a positive way to give them peace of mind while they are assisting with investigations.
During this period, these domestic workers can continue meeting family expenses like children's school fees and basic household needs.
