Godolphin waits on Golden Rose favourite’s run before making The Everest decision
-

Tempted (James McDonald) winning the Group 2 Percy Sykes Stakes (1,200m) at Randwick on April 12 when then trained by James Cummings. The Godolphin galloper will contest the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1,400m) at Rosehill on Sept 27, under the helm of leading Melbourne trainer Ciaron Maher.
(RACING AND SPORTS)
Tempted will be out to add to the record of Godolphin in the A$1million (S$848,000) Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1,400m), run at 2.05pm Singapore time, when she runs at Rosehill on Sept 27.
The Street Boss filly will put her credentials — three Group 2 wins anda Golden Slipper third - on the line for a spot in The Everest when she faces the starter in one of Sydney’s most coveted races.
With the Godolphin slot still up for grabs in the Group1The Everest (1,200m) at Randwick on Oct 18, the racing and breeding giant is holding off on announcing who will run in its slot.
But success in the Golden Rose will do Tempted’s chances of gaining a start in the A$20 million race no harm, as it will for Beiwacht who runs in the Royal Blue colours for Chris Waller.
