I thank Voices of Youth Forum writer Lee Qin Yuan for advocating the learning of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), which empowers individuals to step up in emergencies and serve their community when it matters most (Learn how to use the many AEDs available, Oct 21).
It is heartening that our youth are socially responsible and recognise the value of learning first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and how to use AEDs.
