PM Wong, Vivian send condolences to families of typhoon victims

Correspondent Prime Minister Lawrence Wong sent his condolences to the families of the victims of Typhoon Yagi, which has wrought death and destruction in many parts of northern Vietnam.
In a letter to Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sept 11, PM Wong said he was deeply saddened to hear about the tragic loss of lives and devastation caused by the typhoon.
He said: "On behalf of the Government of Singapore, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, and my sincere sympathies to all those whose lives have been affected."
