PM Wong congratulates Sri Lankan counterpart on her reappointment and 'strong mandate'

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Nov 28 congratulated Sri Lankan lawmaker Harini Amarasuriya on her reappointment as Prime Minister after the country's snap general election.
Dr Amarasuriya, who holds the additional portfolios of justice, education, health and labour, was reappointed on Nov 18 by the office of Sri Lanka's new President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Mr Dissanayake's leftist coalition, made up mostly of new political entrants, won 159 seats in the 225-member Parliament in the Nov 14 election.
