Jetstar Asia’s wings may have been clipped, but other airlines have stepped up to fill the gap since the carrier ceased operations in July 2025.

Scoot, for instance, launched nonstop flights to Okinawa in Japan and Labuan Bajo in Indonesia in December 2025.
Other new routes that will take off from Singapore include Malaysia-headquartered low-cost carrier Batik Air’s flights to Kota Kinabalu in February. The Sabah capital is the gateway to world-class dive site Sipadan and home to Malaysia’s highest mountain, Mount Kinabalu.
