"This notion that clubs want to bring managers in and build stuff doesn't exist," he said, joking that he has a tougher job than British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as the Australian has an "election" every weekend, where he "either gets voted in or out".
The previous weekend saw Gary O'Neil and Russell Martin being booted out at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton respectively.
Postecoglou had a bright start with Tottenham Hotspur last season, before it ebbed away as the London side missed out on this season's Champions League.
Their chaotic 4-3 League Cup quarter-final win over Manchester United on Dec 19 keeps him on target for the trophy he declares he always wins in his second season.
