Oct 22 South Africa (Greyville) form analysis

RACE 1 (1,200M)

(5) XIPHOS has improved in blinkers but found one too good for him last time. He is down in trip and can go one better.

(6) TASK FORCE raced greenly on debut but should come on with that run under his girth.

(4) GRAND FORCE has shown consistent form over the trip and should be thereabouts again.

(2) OUTRUN THE RAIN makes his debut for Stuart Ferrie, and has the champion apprentice aboard.

One to watch in the market.

RACE 2 (1,400M)

Tricky open maiden.

(7) BLUE POPPY made a smart debut. The extra will suit.

(4) AMERICAN GEM made a smart start to her career when second at long odds on Oct 3. She was ahead of Olive Grove on that day.

(1) OLIVE GROVE has been coming to hand slowly and showed up well over course and distance last time. She looks about ready.

(2) MRS STORMIATRIX improved with blinkers last run. A repeat will see her close again.

(5) BELLA VALENTINA makes her debut from a strong stable and is one to watch in the market.

RACE 3 (1,400M)

(3) SPAARNE RIVIER found market support on debut and finished a close-up third. The step-up in trip will suit.

(5) SUSURRANDO was running on stoutly over course and distance last time from the widest draw. He has a better gate.
