K-pop star Choi Min-hwan under investigation over ex-wife's allegations

SEOUL - K-pop boy band FT Island's drummer Choi Min-hwan is under police investigation following allegations made by his former wife Yulhee.

The Gangnam Police Station confirmed on Oct 25 that it has launched an internal investigation into Choi on charges related to the Act on the Punishment of Arrangement of Commercial Sex Acts.
The allegations first came to light when Yulhee, a former member of K-pop girl group Laboum, posted a 37-minute video on her YouTube channel on Oct 24.
In the video, Yulhee, whose full name is Kim Yul-hee, claimed that Choi frequently visited prostitution businesses.
She released conversations between him and an individual who appeared to be a staff member of a brothel, which were recorded from July to August 2022.
