I read with concern the recent letter “Should KPop Demon Hunters be played in preschools and primary schools?” (Nov 12).

While I understand the writer’s intention to protect children, I believe we should avoid overreacting to pop culture content and trust the good sense of teachers.

Children today grow up surrounded by stories featuring fantasy, magic or adventure — from Harry Potter to Encanto. These tales may include conflict or supernatural elements, but they also teach courage, friendship and teamwork.
