Fowler rising in the fall for vital points

LOS ANGELES - Rickie Fowler began the lengthy trip back to Florida from Japan on Oct 28, likely to have spent some of the time in the air contemplating whether to add further events to his fall schedule.

The American was 11th in the FedExCup Fall standings two weeks ago but vaulted up to No. 92 with a fourth-place finish at the Zozo Championship on Oct 27.
That came on the heels of a tied-23rd finish at the Shriners Children's Open and a joint-16th placing at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
The former United States Ryder Cup star committed to three fall events following an extended layoff in an attempt to improve his playing status for the 2025 season.
