The new-look Lions did well against Thailand in their Asean Championship match on Dec 17, despite the 2-4 loss (Lions blow two-goal lead in loss to Thailand, Dec 18).
Except for the goalkeeper, and Faris Ramli, who scored, I did not recognise any of the players. No big familiar, established names like Fandi Ahmad's sons and dependable stalwarts, but the performance that they put up almost took one's breath away.
