I refer to the article “The Big Question: Qualification secured, should Gavin Lee be the next permanent Lions coach?” (Nov 19).
Those who have followed Singapore football since the Malaysia Cup days are heartened by the Lions’ recent Asian Cup qualification. It brought back memories of the pride and unity our team once inspired.
Gavin Lee played an important part in this achievement, but I also recognise the challenges of making him the full-time coach.
