EU Could Tax US Big Tech If Trump Trade Talks Fail: Von Der Leyen

The EU is ready to deploy its most powerful trade measures and may impose levies on US digital companies if negotiations with US President Donald Trump fail, EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen told the Financial Times on April 10.

The EU would seek a completely balanced agreement with Washington during Mr. Trump's 90-day pause in applying additional tariffs, the report added.
