Companies Urged to Install Speed Limiters in Heavy Vehicles Before Deadline

Lorries fitted with the (speed limiter) device have recorded almost zero speeding violations in the first half of 2025.

Speaking on Aug 7 at the PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal, where TP conducted a road safety talk, he said: "Traffic Police will pull out all the stops to put an end to this. We will continue to intensify our enforcement operations and outreach programmes.
"We must act now to prevent more lives from being put at risk on our roads."
In 2024, there were 46 speeding-related fatal accidents, up from 32 in 2023. There have been some horrific fatal accidents reported in the past few years.
