Hypeman and Fortune Tree also impress with their wins in two Class 3 races in KL

Bransom’s consistent performance in Malaysia has earned the former Singapore sprinter his first silverware in the RM62,000 (S$18,900) Magic Millions Horses In Training Sale Cup (2,020m) at Sungai Besi on Sept 28.
Now trained by Simon Dunderdale, the Brazen Beau gelding enjoyed a good first season in Singapore in 2023, recording four wins (1,000 to 1,200m) from eight starts when under the care of Stephen Gray.
But in 2024, the Australian-bred managed just one victory from 11 appearances. He scored in a Class 4 event (1,000m) for trainer James Peters on June 1.
However, he has made tremendous progress since joining reigning champion trainer Dunderdale’s yard after Kranji’s closure.
The six-year-old easily won a Class 3 race second-up on March 23, and went back-to-back in a Supreme A contest on April 6, both run over 1,020m.
Since then, Bransom has run one second, one third and two fourths in five starts before his success in Sunday’s “black type” contest.
Bransom (Uzair Sharudin) and Super Happy (Shafiq Rizuan) were the first two to break from the gates, but Pacific Vampire (Jerlyn Seow), in his usual front-running role, headed them off making the turn out of the back straight.
The Jason Ong-trained speedster led into the straight from Bransom, Super Happy and Stop The Water (Khairil Zulkiflee).
