Local actress Yvonne Lim is counting down to 2025 with anticipation and trepidation. It will mark the start of a new chapter as her family relocates back to Singapore.
The 48-year-old has been living in Taiwan for close to a decade since she married Taiwanese-American businessman Alex Tien, 45, a former boy band member.
They have a 10-year-old son, Alex Junior (AJ), and a daughter, Alexa, who turns eight in January.
The homecoming is long overdue, she tells The Straits Times over the telephone from Taiwan.
"We moved here five months after I gave birth to AJ in Singapore. I told Alex that I would live in Taiwan for two years only, but I ended up staying for close to 10 years."
She always wanted to return to Singapore for their children's education.
Had it not been for the Covid-19 pandemic, the family would have relocated to Singapore in 2021 so AJ could start Primary 1.
