A state-of-the-art AC rake reached the Ranaghat car shed yesterday and has become a big draw among commuters and netizens.
According to sources, the AC rake is likely to be rolled out in Sealdah-Ranaghat main line route, which is one of the busiest in the division.
The 12-car 3-phase AC EMU rake has been manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. The rake operates on 25 KV AC traction with maximum speed up to 110 kmph.
