The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday arrested Aam Admi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh after more than eight hours of questioning following raids at his house here in connection with the Delhi liquor scam. (Photo) Soon after his arrest, Mr Singh was taken to the ED office in the evening. He was seen waving to media persons and AAP workers who had gathered outside at the ED office in large numbers.
It is alleged that the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22 to grant licences to liquor traders allowed cartelisation and favoured certain dealers who had allegedly paid bribes for it, a charge strongly refuted by the AAP.
