The idea of the film has been adapted from Serjio Scapagnini's book, The Story of LALA, an epic tale.
The Bengali film industry is a great school of cinema and they have made masterpieces that are known all over the world, said acclaimed Italian author and producer, Serjio Scapagnini whose writing forms the idea behind eminent director Goutam Ghose's film, Parikrama.
Screened at the ongoing 30 Kolkata International Film Festival, Parikrama received a huge acclaim from audiences at its Asian premiere even before its official release in cinema halls.
Centered around the sufferings of not only humans but also the meandering Narmada over the years, Goutam Ghose's directorial narrates the story of Alessandro played by Italian actor Marco Leonardi who is a filmmaker doing a movie on the journey of Narmada river.
