In a bid to clear the anticipated rush of pilgrims during Gangasagar Mela, the Eastern Railway has decided to run 12 Galloping EMU Mela Special trains.
Gearing up for the upcoming congregation, the zonal railway has announced to run the 12 special trains between 12 and 17 January in different directions, including those from Sealdah South, Kolkata station, Lakshmikantapur, Namkhana and Kakdwip. Apart from this, three regular local trains namely 34923 up, 34424 down, and 34736 down in the section would be extended during the period.
