BJP stages dharna demanding arrest of culprits in Natore Kalibari chief trustee murder case

The BJP's State Refugee Cell launched intense protests across the state today, demanding the immediate arrest of the killers of Tarun Chandra Das, the chief trustee of the Shmashan Kali Temple in Natore, Bangladesh.
Das's body was found tied up yesterday.
Asim Sarkar, the state chief convener of the BJP's State Refugee Cell and MLA of the Bengal Assembly, conveyed his concern over the incident in letters to the Prime Minister and the Minister of External Affairs.
Today, MLA Asim Sarkar, along with BJP members of the State Refugee Cell, staged a sit-in protest near Barrackpore station throughout the day. "Our Refugees Cell staged a dharna throughout the day to protest this heinous murder of the chief trustee," said Asim Sarkar.
The state BJP organized protests across West Bengal yesterday in response to recent attacks on Hindu places of worship in Bangladesh and the murder of the temple trustee. These demonstrations occurred in the districts of North and South 24-Parganas, Howrah, Birbhum, Medinipur, and Purulia.
