Ahead of Bihar polls, political slugfest erupts over Dr Ambedkar's legacy

Political slugfest erupted in Bihar as various political parties sought to claim the legacy of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on the birth anniversary of the political icon and the main architect of the Indian constitution.
Paying tribute to the social reformer at a ceremony held in Patna on Monday, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav said that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) have always stood and will continue to stand with the ideas of Baba Saheb and to save the Constitution and reservation.
He attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleging that the party has been making all efforts to weaken Ambedkar's ideology and the constitution he framed to ensure social justice. The RJD leader also slammed the BJP for trying to claim his legacy just to get Dalit votes.
