Abhishek Banerjee, national general secretary of Trinamul Congress, announced to intensify movement against the Centre till the latter release funds due to Bengal.
He threatened to continue his fight (read protest) if need be, till Durga Pujas. He said he is ready to withdraw his protest if the Governor manages to get clarifications from the Prime Minister before that.
On the second day of his sit-in in front of the Raj Bhavan Main Gate since Thursday, Abhishek announced that he would continue the dharna till Governor CV Ananda Bose meets the ruling party delegates.
Abhishek’s protest started on Thursday. Other leaders of the party like MP Shantanu Sen, Kunal Ghosh, MP Derek O’ Brien and Rajib Banerjee were found sharing dais with him.
