Working parents’ four-year-old girl killed by grandfather at their Sonarpur home

In a very gruesome and sad incident, a four-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by her grandfather at Sonarpur in the southern outskirts of Kolkata on Sunday night. The grandfather has been arrested.
Providing details of the crime, Baruipur district police sources said the body of a child was recovered from her home at Kodalia in the Kadamtola area of Sonarpur in South 24-Parganas last night.
The nature of the wounds found on the body, along with the blood smears around it, suggested that violence had been used.
