Golden Tips to take VC or Partnership route to expand pan India, to tap new geographies abroad

Golden Tips Tea, one of India's oldest and premium tea brands mostly in the niche segment, is weighing options of raising funds from VC Funds or bringing in strategic partners to grow exponentially and emerge as a pan-India brand.
The 92-year-old brand is also looking at options of marking its retail footprint overseas also, if things move the way, it has been envisaged.
"We are sincerely hoping to close the funds raising or bringing in strategic partners by the next fiscal and set out on our retail expansion journey. Once that is done, Delhi, Mumbai and other key cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad will be our next ports of call," said Madhav Sarda, Managing Director, Golden Tips, while speaking to The Statesman.
