The Central government in its response to Abhishek Banerjee’s question admitted cut in power funds for Bengal.
Inareply to Parliamentary Party Leader of Lok Sabha for Trinamul Congress, Abhishek Banerjee’s question, the Modi govtadmitted a glaring reduction in the state’s allocation under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
The minister of state for power, Shripad Naik’s response revealed that while West Bengal received Rs 601 crore under RDSS in 2024-25, theallocation for 2025-26 has reduced to a paltry Rs 49 crore as of 28 November in FY 2025-26.
