Subramanian Swamy moves SC to declare Ram Setu as national monument

Former Member of Parliament -Rajya Sabha - and BJP leader Dr. Subramanian Swamy has moved the Supreme Court seeking a direction to the Central Government for expeditious consideration of his representation to declare the Ram Setu as an ancient monument of national importance and to confer upon it the status of a national monument.
In his fresh plea, Dr. Swamy has submitted that despite the Supreme Court's directions in January 2023 to make a representation before the appropriate authority, the Centre has not yet acted upon his request.
