Subhojit and Antara Sengupta met each other through a typical newspaper-based matrimonial arrangement.

Both of them are Information Technology professionals who have different tastes and temperament towards life. While Subhojit enjoys Marvel movies, Antara binge-watches old Bengali classics. Subhojit is all for earning to plan and save, while Antara is quite a spendthrift who knows nothing about saving for the rainy day. While she is a tea, coffee, and hot beverage lover, he is a teetotaler in that regard. She breaks down easily with failure, but he stands by life’s upheavals like a rock. Subhojit had grown up in an atmosphere all by himself. But Antara’s had been a close-knit family of many a kith and kin, always in and out of the house. Yet the two of them fell into friendship, not love at first sight.

Antara says what we, the 90’s children, have known by heart, ‘Love is friendship’, ‘If you cannot be each other’s best friends, you cannot be in love’. She was impressed by Subhojit’s confident conduct, which, coupled with their common professional interest, gave her the vibe that the two of them could be the best of friends. For Subhojit, it was their sharp socio-demographical similarities, both were middle-class class who had struggled their way to their choice of job from contrasting academic disciplines, which struck a chord.
