Bologna stun AC Milan to clinch Coppa Italia crown after 51 yrs

Win the trophy for the first time since 1973/74 after stunning former European champions 1-0
Bologna ended a 51-year wait for a major trophy when they beat AC Milan 1-0 to win the Italian Cup on Thursday (IST).
Bologna FC lifted the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa (Italian Cup) trophy for the first time since 1973/74 with a 1-0 victory over AC Milan.
Dan Ndoye returned from injury to score the only goal and help Bologna to their first Italian Cup since 1974. The club, which is owned by Canadian Joey Saputo, have only won two second-division titles in between.
It was also coach Vincenzo Italiano's first win in a final, having lost back-to-back Europa Conference League title matches while in charge of Fiorentina and finishing runners-up in the 2023 Italian Cup.
After 3 minutes, Milan created the first chance when Leao beats Lucumi on the wing and sent in a dangerous cross, but Jimenez can't finish it. Five minutes later, Bologna replied with a close-range header from Castro, but Maignan made a great save.
