BJP Stages Walkout From Himachal Assembly Demanding Investigation Into Transfer Of Funds To Women Self-Help Groups

The opposition BJP created a ruckus in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Thursday during the question hour.
The uproar was over the issue of Kangra Central Cooperative Bank transferring funds to several women self-help groups during the Dehra assembly by-election in July 2024.
However, the opposition was not satisfied with the response and created a ruckus in the House.
Ashish Sharma questioned whether the Kangra Central Cooperative Bank had transferred funds to women self-help groups in the Dehra assembly constituency between June 1, 2024, and July 10, 2024. He also asked how many women's self-help groups received funds and the total amount released.
In response to a question by BJP MLA Ashish Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the information was being collected and would be presented in the House once it was received from the bank.
